What’s eating Camila Morrone?
Leonardo DiCaprio’s 22-year-old girlfriend, fed up from wisecracks about the 22-year age difference between herself and the Hollywood hunk, snapped back at her detractors on social media late last week.
“I just read some of my comments on my Instagram and . . . my god, people are so mean and full of anger with people that they know nothing about,” she wrote. “I guess I just hope . . . people learn to live with a little less hatred and place their time and interests elsewhere, because living without hatred feels pretty good.”
The Argentine-born model and actress, who appeared in the 2018 Eli Roth adaptation of “Death Wish” and snagged the cover of Vogue Turkey three years ago, quietly has been dating DiCaprio for over a year.
Her mother, Lucila Sola, had previously been the longtime partner of Al Pacino, whom Morrone refers to as her stepdad.
On Thursday, Morrone posted a photo on Instagram of silver-screen stars Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart, with the caption, “A love like this.”
Many people assumed that Morrone was comparing her relationship to Leo with with the Hollywood legends who famously had a 25-year age difference.
“Yeah, that’s her icon because Lauren liked her men 25 years older, famous and ultra rich just like Camila likes her Leonardo,” sniped social media user @scottsee.
Another defamer hinted that “The Revenant” star would break up with Morrone once her youthful looks began fading.
“You only have a couple more years before he dumps you girl!” scoffed @vegancow.
In May, the lovebirds attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” despite not arriving together, according toUSA Today.
