Arsenal will continue their hunt to land a new centre-back once they complete the signing of William Saliba, reports say. The Saint-Etienne centre-back is on the verge of a move to Arsenal, after the Gunners agreed a £27million deal for Saliba. But Arsenal fans will have to wait until the 2020/21 season to see Saliba in action for the club, as Saint-Etienne has demanded the player back on loan for the new campaign. BBC Sport confirm Arsenal have agreed to this demand and Saliba will return to Saint-Etienne once he signs his contract with the Gunners in London. Emery is unhappy with his current defensive options and is reportedly considering offloading Shkodran Mustafi as a means to raise further transfer funds. Arsenal has around £45m to spend this summer, which has restricted Emery in landing his top targets. Efforts to sign Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha and Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney have been unsuccessful so far.
